“Born Again”

A dear reader of our website drew to our attention that we do not emphasize that everyone must be born again to enter the Kingdom. This is absolutely true.
The Watchtower teaches that only the “anointed” need this “new birth.”

However, all one needs to do is to read Jesus’ words in John chapter 3: “I tell you the truth no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again” (John 3:3).

The New World Translation puts it more clearly “unless anyone is born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior the Holy Spirit comes into our hearts and we have what is called a “new birth”.

We are a new creation in Christ. As Paul said in Romans 8:9 “…you are controlled by The Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you and if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ he does not belong to Christ.” He goes on to say in Romans 10: 8-13 “…if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your hear that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” The Watchtower says to come to the organization for salvation. Jesus says “Come to me and be born again.” (John 3:6)
